Inexpensive Money-Making Idea?

MODZ and wanna-be modz: This post contains no affiliate links (not even where I'm allowed to). I know that people come here looking for quick ways to make money sometimes and was so impressed with this idea that I decided to post it here for people to evaluate.
I subscribe to Michael Campbell's newsletter (if you sign up right now at the link below this post -- which is not an affiliate link -- you can get two products for free that he used to sell -- and I have the receipts to prove it). He recently came out with a post about how he made a 30 second video, posted it to YouTube, and with a couple of edits (you can do it with the pro version of QuickTime, which costs $30), he ended up with about 1200 visitors to his website and $437 in affiliate commissions in a week.

One word, however: if you follow that plan and use affiliate products, you won't get your commissions right away. If you need cash fast and have a few private label or resell rights products laying around, then I'd use them and have people pay via your PayPal account. You'd also need a website, but might be able to get away with a free one for this type of project.
And if you don't have PhotoShop Elements for the graphic (you'll know what I mean when you read the post), just use Microsoft Paint. You can specify your graphic size by going to the Image menu and selecting Attributes, then just create a text box with your message. I'm pretty sure that there's a way to import the resulting graphic into QuickTime.
I haven't tried it myself because I'm heavily involved in another major project at the moment, but would try to come up with something if I did have the time. As always, of course, there are no guarantees, but if you have a video camera, or even a video function on a digital camera (which many have), it would at least be worth a try.
