Believe me I did not take this change lightly. But the spam post were getting to be too much and also there was the fact that I was losing serious traffic to eBay's forum. (Because my board is basically centered upon one specialty realm it means my traffic and visitation is somewhat more vulnerable)
And so I started checking into things. Actually I first started looking into this potential change about a year ago or so. Then Sowpub changed to one of the boards I had been looking at and considering and I was able to see the actual changes - from WebBBS to Vb.
As for splitting the board up, that's one of the great things about Vb. You can opt to do this or not. It is all in the admin area and you can customize as much or as little as you want.
Thus far my traffic and post are up slightly as is the adsense income. And I believe that the potential of opening new areas on the board as things grow and expand will make even more potential in the future. I am considering opening some more main threads on other realms of online business. (recommended by a visitor)
In any case you will need to do what you believe is best for you, your board, your visitors, and for your income. I did not for even a moment think that you were ignoring me. : ) I just figured you were probably busy as usual.
But you have to admit that it is food for thought.
