You now can go to your own eventual grave knowing you did all that you could to give your MIL a fighting chance at a healthy end of life. Had you not sent the letter, you would have regretted it forever. It's unfortunate that it sometimes takes such drastic action to get results. The end does not always justify the means, but in this case it does. My hat is off to you.

I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?). I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!" Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.
