FIB - Scams 101
I don't know StoresOnline, but my inclination is to RUN, **RUN** as fast as you can!!!

Like I said, I have NO personal experience with them, and I have not done any extensive research.
HOWEVER...
I did spend 90 seconds on their site and was stopped cold by this statement:
Publish your website on the internet and you're ready for customers to shop and order products.Gag me with a spoon!
There is SO MUCH MORE to making money on the internet than "Build It and They Will Come!" (They won't.)
And this...
>> they strongly recommend
>> that you purchase SIX websites with a price tag of nearly $6400.What can I say about that except, "AARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!"
What Sandy says about focus if very, very true.
Plus the fact that you might HATE internet marketing. Even if they give you a no-questions-asked bail-out period, you won't know you hate it until long after it's too late to turn back, and you'll be out $6,400.
I'm going to stick my neck out here and recommend a solution I have recently discovered...
Normally I would recommend the late, great Corey Rudl's MAGNIFICENT Internet Marketing Course (more info here)... but I'm not sure that's the way to go when you've been fed this line of caca and you're ready to start NOW (how well I know that feeling!). Why? Because there's a ton of reading, you build your own site(s) from the ground up, and it takes TIME (lots of it).
Corey's company (the Internet Marketing Center) also has a product called Warp Speed Wealth which is much more of a hand-holder... but again, you're on your own and calling it "Warp Speed" isn't 100% accurate.
Even though I'm addicted to building my own sites from the ground up, I have recently purchased not one but TWO memberships to SBI, or SiteBuildIt. (Okay, so I paid for one and got the other on a holiday two-for-one special, but let's not nitpick.)
I had to see what all the hubbub was about (and there's a LOT of hubbub).
The price is $297 for one website for one year (which obviously translates to $1,782 for six, which I do NOT recommend until much, much later, if at all). At the end of that year, you're free to pick up your website and move it anywhere you please... but I understand that rarely happens.
I haven't started actually building my website yet -- I'm still in the research phase -- but I've explored every corner of SBI, and I am convinced it is one of the BEST and certainly the FASTEST and (unquestionably!) the MOST HAND-HOLDING eCommerce Package out there...
even for somebody like me, who's been building unfancy-but-effective websites for almost nine years --
and most certainly for someone like you, who is eager to jump into Internet Marketing and is dangling (without a parachute) from a frayed, $6400 string.
I've been doing this long enough to know a good thing when I get one-third of the way into it, and I feel 100% confident recommending it to you in this situation.
I'm going to write a detailed account of my experiences one day, but once I start talking, it's very hard to shut me up, and this isn't the time to derail myself.
There are other good solutions, I'm sure. I just don't happen to think StoresOnline sounds like one of them, and I personally would run the other direction.
Luv,
MaaMaw

FIB - Scams 101 is maintained by Lesley Fountain with WebBBS 5.12.
| PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT. It has been done before, but never successfully. In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace. NEWS FLASH: I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday. I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish. I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?). I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!" Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures. Although we may, from time to time, monitor or review discussions, postings and the like on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, we are under no obligation to do so. You are likewise prohibited from posting any false claims against any company or individual. If you cannot accept or agree with the terms of service for this website and discussion board, you are advised not to post on this board. In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact. And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!). |
