In support of Chris my 1st website was an idea that I thought would be a winner (see link below), it didn't work but subsequently I built several other websites with the same theme which work well. Same idea different format. Don't give up buddy just tweak until you find the winner. You have a good idea you just need to come up with a way to get traffic and make the site a nice place to visit (warm and fuzzy) like this site.
