I can't help thinking this was all wrong. Maybe it's because of personal experience. Ever since I got my first car (a six-year-old '68 Impala sedan) I've been expected to bear the costs of repairs myself. Even expensive ones, such as when the tranny took a dive while several miles from home. Of course, back in the days when I was a teenager driving my first bought-and-paid-for-out-of-my-own-pocket car, there was no Internet, at least not like we have it today, so the thought of asking complete strangers to donate to the repair and upkeep of my decidedly used rust bucket just didn't occur to me. It's just as well because if I HAD come up with such a notion, I would have been laughed at unmercifully and my dad probably would have disavowed any knowledge of me.
Having said that, I have recently been faced with the bills that are common to every man, and the idea of asking for donations to meet the rent, electric and so on---- no, on second thought I'd better not. Time to bear the expense like every man, and try to get a better paying gig if I need more money to pay those things.

Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.
