Michael,

It appears the corporation behind this Apple Patch Diet has taken a lesson from all the Aussie 1-Up and 2-Up programs on the market.

With those -Up programs, the newbie forfeits the commissions on either their first or first two sign-ups. These are often used with programs having the higher entry fees ($500 to $2000 & up). This works well for the professional recruiter, as they can use all their new recruits to feed them their warm market leads. Typically, the newbie in most MLM and Aussie X-Up programs will quit before they recruit a third person to their downline.

In this case, it rewards their sponsor, but virtually guarantees the majority of new dealers won't earn a commission before they give up.

The Apple Patch Diet appears to be using a similar tactic with the $100 minimum payout on their program. Even with the $25 bonus, they have to make multiple sales before they reach the $100 threshold. Those who drop out before they reach payout, are forfeiting any and all commissions back to the corporate office. Even with minimal sales for the average enrollee, the company is likely to receive several forfeited accounts before they have to payout any money.

The time delay you are suggesting is acceptable, works in the companies favor, as few will wait 4 months or more to see a check for $100 to $150. That kind of money isn't a big incentive in the US. Don't forget the first $25 in the payout amount is the rebate or bonus offered for those who pay the $29 for joining.

Not an outright scam, but not likely to provide serious income for more than a handful of promoters, unless the forfeited commissions flow upline to those sponsors who are still in the system. I'm not sure of how the forfeited accounts are closed out. If paid to the sponsor (only those who are still active), then yes it could work out for some who are successful at recruiting a volume of dropouts.

There are many other affiliate programs that offer better potential.

As for the claim that it's too new, if the apple diet patch was bringing good results for weightloss, you couldn't cover up that news for more than a month or two. The US is a country with a high percentage of obesity. If the patch worked and I and millions of others could lose weight by slapping in on, it'd be flying off the warehouse shelves by now - If they even have much in inventory.

Just my opinion.

NOTICE TO SCUMBEEZLES
(you know who you are... you scream "Foul!" when the truth comes out)
PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT.  It has been done before, but never successfully.  In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace.
NEWS FLASH:  I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday.  I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish.  I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?).  I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!"
Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.

In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact.
And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!).
