Just follow the old saying: "If it is too good to be true, it probably is." The couple that I know joined the group two or three years ago. They were very excited and wanted some of my family members to join. I've known the couple for many years; I've known that their jobs have been modest. But when they first joined Mili they were acting like Trump-like investors. In the end, it seems that they believed what they were telling people and they went ahead and bought like millionaires: they bought a 700K+ property, which has already lost somewhere over 100K in value. Ouch. They have now aknowledged that there is no way they can afford their new home. I guess foreclosure might be on the way.... Not long ago I visited the development where they bought their house and asked a sales rep. what price the developer was willing to accept; they said they could sale similar homes for 550K, the specials of the week! People have to be able to do simple math: if you cannot afford it, don't buy it.
