00International....Ewwww.

If only I had come here sooner, if only I had done some research. Aww, ewwww, man.....too late. I stepped in it and it stinks. Get the disinfectant, got some 00International on my foot. Well folks, anybody aware of this site probably knows about this company (the owner of 00International is this sites most vocal opponent), but I think it deserves a yearly reiteration. My story unfolds thusly (apologies to those of you who have heard this, been there, or know that).

Signed on with a company called 00International to assemble FM modulators. $250 'sign up fee'....and they make it all sound so reasonable. Why so much for a home contractor? Well, to protect the company of course. The fee weeds out the irresponsible dregs of internet society. they make other things sound reasonable too: $7.50 per assembled modulator (you're not going to become a millionaire), postage paid, 'Code of Ethics' and 'The Golden Rules'. It all sounds honest and on the level(the best rip offs always do). So, I pay my $250 and the first few correspondences come as fast as the mail can deliver them. Basically, to sum things up, anything this piece of feces asks you to sign, is protection for him against you. And again, it sounds very sensible, very reasonable. So I signed the first two papers even though the first raised a lot of red flags and the second made alarm bells go off.
Mysteriously, after two weeks, my final instructions have not arrived in my mailbox. So I email my contact 'Art' (Erwin, Ervin or Kevin Koltay- a known scam artist). I explained that I had net yet received my final assembly instruction and was, at this point, dubious of his honesty. In reply I received a vague note about static electricity and a somewhat hostile toned 'get to work' note. (I've built many personal computers and serviced many others, I know about static electricity!)

Before receiving that note I had done some research, finding Maamaw's site and a few others. And realized I had been scammed; $250 down the drain and all legal recourse signed away by yours truly. This guy has been around for a long time, and is just getting better at legal thievery. I'm no dummy (I'm a successful rogue scholar and college student), but this offer sounds just good enough to be true. If 00International, Home assembly or any 'work at home' offer is on your 'check it out' list, I implore you to do some serious research before falling for a scam like I have.

I'm currently in touch with 00International and awaiting a response. Which will be, undoubtedly, completely irrelevant to the message I sent (hence my attempt to remain anonymous) and I'll be back to let you know how this piece of feces responds.

Best wishes to all of you,

Mr.X

NOTICE TO SCUMBEEZLES
(you know who you are... you scream "Foul!" when the truth comes out)
PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT.  It has been done before, but never successfully.  In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace.
NEWS FLASH:  I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday.  I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish.  I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?).  I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!"
Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.

In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact.
And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!).
