Since I made my first posting to this topic on the 5th, I did get a chance to thoroughly check out the CCI site last night. I found it very impressive . . . however I still found it all sounding too good to be true. Since I looked at the Mr. Jamieson ad for CCI and the CCI site itself, both have been updated so there is no link to the BBB report (at the Palm Desert, CA location) that once listed this company as having a “AA” rating and it now only refers to a basically empty report at a Baltimore, MD location (when you look for a BBB report based on the addresses giving on the CCI site). Yet when you view the Palm Desert, CA report with the new ‘F’ rating, there really were some nasty complaints against CCI since I saw the report on the 5th. One thing I read was that some people were not able to get their certification after completing the course, and also some people complained that the WPS work was not as easy as the website states. Yet things seem to get more fishier about the CCI site the more I reviewed it. One, that vocalized opening on the home page of the site does not sound very professional, and the guy that is doing the presentation sounds like he has a bad lisp. When I looked at the openings available for a WPS in my area on the 5th, there were 2 openings, last night there were 3 openings. Also the ‘Chicago Employment Weekly’ referenced at the CCI site does not appear to exist at all and it just seems that that particular publication is fictitious, because I could not find any good match for the ‘Chicago Employment Weekly’ when doing a Google search. I think the 'Chicago Employment Weekly’ is about as REAL AS Ron Jamieson. LOL!!! I still am unsure about that Ron Jamieson, but the original ad site lists an E-mail address for him. Yet I doubt if there is a Ron Jamieson out there that is a consumer report with a company called WRWDTV. I have a feeling that the E-mail address given is probably for someone behind CCI. JT, since you have already payed your $249, I would at least try to go through all of their training to see where it leads. In regards to having trouble downloading the individual lessons, I had trouble downloading the sample course listed on the site. I had to get that Quick Time software (which was free, via a link at the CCI site), but it still took my computer about 10 minutes to download that brief sample course, so I would imagine (if the lessons are about 10 minutes or so long), I figure it might would take around 30 minutes to try to download a real lesson that is approximately 10 minutes long. So if I were you, I would hang in there and try to ride it out and see what happens when you finish the entire course. Over the past 30 or so years, I must say that I have lost at least $8,000 in so called work-at-home businesses/scams. Yet now that we have the Internet, there are so many ways to try to check out a company on your own, and it should not take you longer that 30 minutes to get a good idea if a company is good or bad with the ton of information that can be found on the Internet nowadays, especially if you are thinking about spending any money for a product or service that a company (a company that nobody seems to have heard of before) is ‘promising’ to provide you. Yet I must say, one real eerie thing about the CCI site is that they promise that you will get a job within a few days upon completion of their training program or maybe even before you complete their training program. Every since I was a little boy back in the 70's, I was always told NEVER to trust a company (that you are paying any money up front) if they promise you any type of employment AFTER you buy their goods or services. Employment placement assistance is okay, but NOT a guarantee or promise to have a job or employment when you have to pay any money up front. Lastly, another odd thing about the CCI site I found was, if this is a legitimate schooling or training facility, why is it that I can not find ANY information about other courses that they offer? Because from reading the CCI site, it sounds like this institute offers other courses, yet I can not find any information or any link that tells you about any other courses they offer. I have never heard of a training or schooling establishment only offering ONE class or ONE course. Again JT, I am so very sorry to hear about your latest dealing with this company. I do hope and pray that things will soon improve for you. For sure, I do hope everybody that gets sent to the CCI site (like I did on the 5th by that bait Ron Jamison Internet ad) will take time and try to find ‘this’ site or the BBB report that has the ‘F’ rating before handing CCI another red cent! When I looked at the Palm Desert, CA BBB report to get some information to write this posting tonight, I was surprised to see that someone else has added yet another negative complaint about CCI as of today (09-14-07).

| PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT. It has been done before, but never successfully. In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace. NEWS FLASH: I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday. I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish. I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?). I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!" Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures. If you cannot accept or agree with the terms of service for this website and discussion board, you are advised not to post on this board. In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact. And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!). |
