Update on BookWise opportunity and activity...

It's now been a little over two weeks since I last posted. Time for an update.

I placed my monthly order on Dec 4 and received it on Dec 11, just one week later. It was sent by USPS and since I live in the boonies... I can count on one extra day for things to get to me.

I've been on several conference calls and a couple of web casts. One of the things I really like about this company is that they are responsive to suggestions from the field.

They are aware the site has been slow and have addressed that issue. Our BookWise stores now load much faster.

Also, they are addressing the issue of no book descriptions. As it was put... and since I'm a copywriter, I can understand... they are working on adding all the descriptions to the database in a single upload... imagine trying to write over 400K book reports, and you'll get the idea of what they're doing.

At this point, the online (and available) inventory consists of over 95% of the most popular titles offered by the fulfillment house... Baker and Taylor... the same one that supplies Amazon, B&N, and most university bookstores.

They expect to have all 1.5 million titles available over the next couple of months... again, it's a huge database input challenge, especially when you're having to literally create "code" as you go.

By way of yearly review... they've gone from 1000 associates in Jan 2007 to over 6000 associates as of December. They've gone from paying out about 1K commissions per month to over 100K commissions per month. Less than 3% of the associate membership has dropped out.

As for the team I chose to join... we've completely updated the team member replicated web site (where you learn about the business opportunity). We are now putting the finishing touches on the team web site, where we conduct training, and interact with other team members, helping each other become more successful in our businesses.

You have very few days left this year to become a Preferred Customer and get your free copies of "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn". You get both the audio and ebook versions (unabridged) this month, just for opening an account... no purchase required.

When you purchase either a book, CD, or DVD this month, our founder, Richard Paul Evans will send you a complementary copy of his very first NY Best-seller... "The Christmas Box", as his way of saying "Thanks, and Merry Christmas to you".

We're also accepting applications for the second "WriteWise" mentoring program. If you've got a book inside you, and you're ready to write it... this opportunity is one you really have to investigate.

Imagine having Richard Paul Evans, and Robert G. Allen endorsing your work... they'll write the forward for your book. You'll be assigned a production agent who helps you through the entire process, from writing, to editing, to publishing, marketing, and advertising. Yes, it will cost you money... but what you get is beyond priceless.

My original post contains the link to the business opportunity. This time the link goes to my book store, so you can see, there is a distinct difference in the two.

NOTICE TO SCUMBEEZLES
(you know who you are... you scream "Foul!" when the truth comes out)
PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT.  It has been done before, but never successfully.  In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace.
NEWS FLASH:  I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday.  I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish.  I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?).  I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!"
Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.

By posting messages and/or content on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, you give permission for Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications to display, distribute and use the posting and content for publication, advertising, promotion, excerption or example.         In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact.
And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!).
