Do YOU look at business cards that you find in books and magazines very seriously? Most folks assume that someone just bookmarked something and forgot the card... and throw it away.

GUARANTEED to make you "persona non grata" with the librarians. Librarians are not shy about calling patrons. The correct way to do this is to call the library and ask if there's an area where local businesses can leave brochures or busines cards.

The card will be thrown away within a few minutes by an employee.

No, but they're pretty stupid ones. I suppose if you did it with 10,000 cards you might get some responses but that's a lot of work and sneaking around (and aggravated librarians) to get a few leads.
