WANT THE TRUTH?? - READ THIS!!!

RESPONSE TO MOST OF THE POSTS ON THIS PAGE PRIOR TO 14 APRIL 2008.
The opportunity presented here is to own a home-based business as an Independent Herbalife Distributor, however, the business network mentioned above is run by a network of very successful Herbalife distributors and isn't run by Herbalife itself. This means that you don't have to go through the network of distributors or follow their practices to be an Herbalife distributor, but if they're successful, why on earth wouldn't you want to follow them? Yes there are some people who may have had unpleasant experiences with the business opportunity, however, that's not a reflection of the company itself. Herbalife is a product driven company and anyone who takes any of the products from their incredible line, will stand behind them 100%. Any negative experience that one may have had with the business opportunity deals with an INDEPENDENT distributor of their products. If anyone has a problem with the way they've been treated, they should notify the company directly and file a formal complaint. If you're not willing to do this, then what are you complaining for in the first place?
Someone mentioned something about Herbalife's peak being in the 1990's. This is ridiculous, as Herbalife's peak is right now. Don't believe it? Go look for yourself. Herbalife is publicly traded on the NYSE as HLF, and has shown double digit growth for the past 16 CONSECUTIVE QUARTERS. Show me another company in the industry that has accomplished that. By the way, because HERBALIFE is a publicly traded company, the facts about the company, that most people are looking for, are public information.
Curious as to why the company name isn't divulged immediately? Well here you go. Just because someone likes HERBALIFE products, or because they think it's a great way to make extra money, or even a great way to make a living, doesn't necessarily mean that they'll make a good distributor. There are screening procedures being conducted from the very first time that a prospect picks up their phone, all the way to the time that they decide whether or not the business opportunity is something that they would like to pursue. If someone proves to be unreliable, or unwilling to be groomed to become a successful business owner, or unwilling to follow, etc., then they will most likely screen themselves out anyway. On the other hand, someone who is competent enough follow simple instructions, to check their email and to simply show up for a phone appointment will be given all the information that they need to make an informed decision before ever being given the opportunity to invest into starting their home-based business.
Lastly, when contemplating whether a certain business is right for you, it's always good to do your research and find the facts, however, most people will only get their information from friends, family, or other acquaintances and interpret that information as fact, when in reality, only about 10% of that information is actually fact, and the rest is strictly opinion. This holds true for any situation, not just home-based businesses. You should also consider the following example...If you were looking into buying a burger franchise, would you go talk to 5 people who admittedly failed at running their own, or would want to get business advise from someone who successfully runs 7 or 8 of said franchise?? It's really a no-brainer. The main reason that causes a home-based business to fail, is simply a lack of commitment on the part of the business owner. If you don't come to the table with a "Whatever it takes" attitude, then why come to the table at all? Just do the math...Of all the people who offer you their so-called "business advice", count how many are truly wealthy, and how many are broke. Then feel free to re-evaluate their advice.
"THE SAME OPPORTUNITY IS THERE FOR EVERYONE. IT'S NOT WHAT HAPPENS THAT DETERMINES YOUR LIFE FUTURE, IT'S WHAT YOU DO ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS."
>> Does anyone know anything about the eHome Business Network which is
>> advertised all over XM radio? I believe the advertisement is Bare Foot
>> Boss dot com, or something like that. Any help to help me decide if this
>> things a scam or not would be gratefully appreciated!

FIB - Scams 101 is maintained by Lesley Fountain with WebBBS 5.12.
| PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT. It has been done before, but never successfully. In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace. NEWS FLASH: I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday. I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish. I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?). I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!" Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures. Although we may, from time to time, monitor or review discussions, postings and the like on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, we are under no obligation to do so. We are not responsible or liable for any claim arising from the content of any such discussions or postings or for any error, defamation, libel, slander, omission, falsehood, obscenity, pornography, profanity, danger, or inaccuracy contained in any information contained within such locations on the Site. You are likewise prohibited from posting any false claims against any company or individual. We will fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing us to disclose the identity of anyone posting any such information or materials. By posting messages and/or content on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, you give permission for Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications to display, distribute and use the posting and content for publication, advertising, promotion, excerption or example. You grant Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications complete, perpetual, but non-exclusive rights to use, archive, reproduce, adapt, modify, distribute, sub-license, repurpose, rework, compile, or offer for sale or resale the messages, postings or content appearing on this site in whole or in part, throughout the world and universe, on a royalty-free basis without remuneration. If you cannot accept or agree with the terms of service for this website and discussion board, you are advised not to post on this board. In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact. And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!). |
