>> let me note for everyone what an idiot this guy is. he made a point
>> that everything is an MLM such as buying a car from a car dealership or
>> buying a steak from a store.Oh, wow, what a business opportunity.
Next, your gas station will go MLM and instead of selling you gasoline, will sell you the opportunity to sell other folks a chance to fill up and build a crude down-line. Of course, prices will really hit the stratosphere, then, because there will be so many people sharing in the profits. But what the heck, what are a few more profiteers at the pumps? Of course some folks will sign up just for the discounts on gasoline and road maps. What? They haven’t carried road maps in decades?
Hmmm, looks like a great backend product if you can find a good supplier.
Won’t be long now…soon we all get a piece of the action of whatever we spend money for.
Ya think traffic tickets might be included, if we can talk up the entrepreneurial spirit at police headquarters?
Happy Memorial Day...and have a great summer.
What makes MLM's what they are is that they
>> have so many layers that people on top get paid or bonused for what
>> everyone else does below them. each company's structure is different. But,
>> buying a car or buying steaks is 100% COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. These are
>> traditional methods where there is only 1 or maybe 2 groups in the chain.
>> most auto dealers, except toyota, have dealers that are set up directly
>> with the manfuacturer. with his example of steaks there is usually a large
>> distributor that buys direct in volume from the manufacturer or supplier
>> then they sell to authorized dealers such as grocery stores. Even larger
>> companies, such as Wal-Mart dont use some of those distributors for many
>> of the products they sell. Sometimes they do and sometimes they dont. they
>> have their own distribution structure.>> THERE ARE NO MULTIPLE LEVELS OF COMMISSIONS being paid out. MLM's work
>> by making money "down stream" on what other people buy from
>> people below you. That way you get small % commissions or bonuses for what
>> those people do for you. FOR THOSE HIGH INCOME MLM people this guy talks
>> about what he wont tell you is that those people make most of their income
>> from people below them. now that is actually really good but it really
>> turns you into a sign up person instead of selling. that is the part most
>> people dont want to do. you put all your hope in signing people up then
>> have to wait, and wait, and wait hoping the 90% drop out ratio on average
>> doesn't hit your downstream pipeline you have created. you then have to
>> hope those people you signed up are successful signing more people up.
>> What MLM's effectively do is cause you to have to rely on others to
>> determine your future. most people dont want to have to rely on people.
>> What MLM's dont tell you is the product you have to buy and stock. every
>> MLM is different. some require you to buy and stock, some broker sales but
>> at some level you are out of pocket at some point. For most people in a
>> tight economy or on tight budgets MLM's dont work and in the end the 90%
>> drop out because they get fed up with being out of pocket and not making
>> money.>> Hey look, if you want to get into MLM's go for it. Alot of people make
>> money BUT the studies CLEARLY show that the drop out rate is over 90% in
>> almost every MLM based business. What alot of MLM's NEVER tell you is that
>> with an established company that has been around for decades is that you
>> are competing with hundreds of others just like you in your same area. For
>> the large brand name MLM's people get sick of people at work, friends,
>> family trying to sell them product. For the most part you can get the
>> exact same items at a local store, get it the same day, and usually at a
>> better price.>> MLM's have their place but for most people it is not a fit. But, this
>> guy making some uneducated comment that ALL businesses are MLM's in the
>> end is completely stupid. MLM's were created for companies on tight
>> advertising budgets to get YOU the everday person to do advertising for
>> them. The overhead savings for those companies is staggering but they dont
>> tell you this.

FIB - Scams 101 is maintained by Lesley Fountain with WebBBS 5.12.
| PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT. It has been done before, but never successfully. In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace. NEWS FLASH: I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday. I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish. I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?). I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!" Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures. Although we may, from time to time, monitor or review discussions, postings and the like on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, we are under no obligation to do so. We are not responsible or liable for any claim arising from the content of any such discussions or postings or for any error, defamation, libel, slander, omission, falsehood, obscenity, pornography, profanity, danger, or inaccuracy contained in any information contained within such locations on the Site. You are prohibited from posting or transmitting any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, or profane materials or any material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law. You are likewise prohibited from posting any false claims against any company or individual. We will fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing us to disclose the identity of anyone posting any such information or materials. By posting messages and/or content on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, you give permission for Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications to display, distribute and use the posting and content for publication, advertising, promotion, excerption or example. You grant Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications complete, perpetual, but non-exclusive rights to use, archive, reproduce, adapt, modify, distribute, sub-license, repurpose, rework, compile, or offer for sale or resale the messages, postings or content appearing on this site in whole or in part, throughout the world and universe, on a royalty-free basis without remuneration. If you cannot accept or agree with the terms of service for this website and discussion board, you are advised not to post on this board. In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact. And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!). |
