Sue, at one time you had some booklets for sale about being newly disabled. Now, at the health fair people are NOT there to buy, but are there for freebie info. So it's an opportunity to drive people to a website but it won't make direct money. But if your website has informative articles about disabilities, books, and resources available, then you may see income from it. And the more of these events you get to and speak at, the better your income is.

But showing up with a new business where you're not an expert can run you into problems when people ask odd things like the recent results of the fish oil studies or whether the insurance plan is a better Medicaid supplement than another plan.

Go back and focus on your original idea, and see if you can get your website back or get a new one. At one time it had real content (see if you can snag some of the links that are on there now) but at the current time whoever did it has turned it into a "ack! It's a trap!" type of site where you end up clicking on a bunch of directories but never actually get the info you need.

Show up as an advocate for the newly disabled. Folks need that sort of thing.

I hope you've had a chance to look at Disaboom... not for the sales stuff but for the neat blogs (I like reading the advocate blogs, myself.)
