I know this is an old thread, but I do have to make a comment here.

Anyone who believes everything about the BBB, isn't IMO, very with it.

Do you not know that ANYONE can post something negative to the BBB?

I found this out when someone who wasn't even a client complained, or a client I didn't want b/c they were nasty complained. The minute they are issued a refund, I don't consider them a client anymore. I don't deal with nasty people, only nice ones.

I could lie about anyone's company, call them up or e-mail them, & say whatever I want & the BBB will take the complaint.

I would NEVER (as a company) pay any money to a company that doesn't do thorough research into the complaint & just allows anyone to complain, whether they started the problem or not.

It's the same things with the Rip off Report. They are a total scam & have caused many a business to suffer b/c of all the lies posted. Once again, even someone who's NEVER been my client, doesn't know my products at all, can lie & say they purchased & my product was a scam.

Just search online & find all the tons of sites outing the Rip off Report, & he gets away with it too b/c consumers are guilable.

So, the next time you decide to believe these companies, try running a company & see what happens to you when any person decides they don't like the way you treat them & they decide to take you down.

While I agree that there are many companies out there that scam people, there are even more consumers who scam companies, but does anyone talk about that?

Do you know how much credit card fraud there is out there by real consumers? I'm not talking about the ones who steal credit card numbers, I'm talking about people who lie about not receiving the product or service & getting away with it because Visa doesn't care, they love making money off the backs of these companies, as they charge them huge chargeback rates.

I'm a consumer, everyone is obviously, & I'd be the first person to out a company who has treated me unfairly, but then again, I don't lie. Unfortunately the average human does. It's a documented fact that humans lie 10-15 times per day.

I'm just not one of those humans.

Thanks for listening.

(you know who you are... you scream "Foul!" when the truth comes out)
PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT.  It has been done before, but never successfully.  In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace.
NEWS FLASH:  I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday.  I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish.  I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?).  I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!"
Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.

In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact.
And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!).
