Snow and Peace on Earth Not quite OT

I've been watching it snow and the peacefulness that comes over a sleepy town as it snows and covers ugliness and poverty with a white blanket. As I watched, I got to thinking about how we humans have 'created' our own worlds to live within. Are they things of beauty, peace, and joy to hold in our hearts, minds, and to share with others or just another symbol of our heedless abandon of everything real and natural and lovely in the world?
Now, think about the influence our businesses and lives have on others. We onliners should be proud because our business does not pollute the world by destroying the trees that cleanse the air we all have to breathe. That's good. There are other 'goods', too. Like the way we connect with those who differ from us in everything except our common human beingness. Our lifestyles both reflect us and teach us, leading us to greater togetherness in spirit, if not in reality. Neighbor has a new, broader, and potentially better, meaning these days.
Along with the good, however, we have not only brought the worst with us in the form of those who spread misery and pain by exploitation of others whether it be to a belief, however ill-founded or not, or to greed and ignorance.
The next time you consider what you are really doing with your business, at this time of various celebrations, let us pause and reflect what we are REALLY doing with our businesses, our lives, and the resources we use every day...and the effect it will have upon others whether human or otherwise. Like it or not, we're all in this together, live or die, joy or sorrow. Everything we do reflects for good or ill now and long term.
May the snows of your life bring peace and joy and cover ugliness. May your business thrive and add to the beauty and love in the world.

Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.
