You may have used one of them -- Google -- invented by a pair of PhD students -- to find this page, in fact. Search engine technology comes from university grads and professors (I know one who worked on search engine algorithms and language, who has her own foundation, funded several scholarships, and holds (at last count) 14 patents.)
Your idea that "teachers teach and it's worthless" doesn't really hold up. I know good entrepreneurs (like Dennis) who don't hold degrees, but I also know more successful business owners who do have them.
My university is currently offering $50,000 grants to student entrepreneurs for worthy business ideas. I don't think there's many of the grants (it's a competition) but a lot of inventions and businesses come from this sort of environment.
Sadly, most of the announcements get ignored in the wake of the latest Tiger Woods scandal or the latest political flap.
Anyway, glad you enjoyed the copywriting course. I took two courses in business management and one in general business that covered cost per dollar and advertising (etc) and haven't found anything their equal in the non-college courses.
But they're not for everyone. Good luck with your website.
