Your idea that "teachers teach and it's worthless" doesn't really hold up. I know good entrepreneurs (like Dennis) who don't hold degrees, but I also know more successful business owners who do have them.
I did go to college, but left before graduating. At the time I was applying for college, my wife asked me what I was going to college for. After thinking about it for a while, I stated that I was going for an education - not necessarily a degree to hang on a wall, or add to a resume'.
Half-way through my Junior year, I dropped out to go to work, so I could pay the doctor and hospital as we were expecting our third child.
I managed to complete 12 more hours taking courses part-time, but never finished my degree. That was so long ago, I'm not even certain if McNeese State Univ. still offers that degree - B.S. in General Business Administration.
But, I definitely use several things I learned in my college years, including computer science, math, English, and more. So, without the sheepskin, I still am reaping the benefits my education.
