But it only works if you used a credit card (or a debit card that has the logo of one of the main credit card associations like Visa or MasterCard, AMex. or discover). Call the phone # on the back of the card. (If it is a debit card and there is no phone # on the back of the card, call the # of the bank that issued you the debit card.)

When you finally speak to a live person, tell them that you made a purchase on the card and you were scammed so you need to file a dispute on the charge. They will either start the dispute process right then and there or transfer you to the disputes department.

If the charge was over a few hundred then you may have to fill out a questionnaire they send you in the mail. But if it's only a couple hundred, most credit card and debit card issuers will just reverse the charge on your word and put the burden on the merchant to prove that in fact you do not deserve your money back based on your allegations. Every bank and credit card company has different guidelines on how they go about their dispute process but all of them have consumer protection (in the case of a Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card, it is not the bank who makes up the rules for disputes, they are bound by the Visa and Mastercard card associations to offer dispute resolutions and do chargeback, putting the burden mostly on the merchant, not the consumer). However, you only have so many days after the charge to dispute it. Some cards are 60 days, some are 90 days - they all differ. But even if you think you are over your time limit, call anyway, they might work with you anyhow. Worth a shot.

If you did not purchase using a credit or debit card, I am afraid you are SOL. If you paid by check, you can try calling your bank about it, but good luck with that - check users have really no protection at all. For instances where fraud is involved, check users are just as unprotected as cash users.
But I guess it's worth a shot anyhow.

If you MUST buy into an obvious disappointment, always use a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or Amex) or a debit card that has one of those logos on it. If you don't have one, then you're literally on your own.

I called it an "obvious disappointment" because the name "project payday" alone tells you that you are going to be disappointed because they named the "program/biz op" using words that cater to the average person's emotions and dreams to have money rather than naming it what it is. No real biz op is named in such a way. If you buy a McDonald's franchise, do you think they call it the "Easy Burger Fries Riches Franchise"?

NOTICE TO SCUMBEEZLES
(you know who you are... you scream "Foul!" when the truth comes out)
PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT.  It has been done before, but never successfully.  In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace.
NEWS FLASH:  I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday.  I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish.  I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?).  I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!"
Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.

In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact.
And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!).
